Avum, Inc. is seeking an IT Operations Specialist to organize daily IT work, keep it responsive, and maintain thorough documentation.

You will support technical documentation, vulnerability follow-up, ticket coordination, employee support, and recurring IT processes. The IT Operations Specialist will collaborate with technical teams to resolve routine issues, track work, and ensure complex items are escalated with the right information.

Formación

• Five or more years of IT operations or related technical experience.
• Experience troubleshooting common OS, applications, accounts, and connectivity issues.
• Experience using an IT ticketing or service management system.
• Ability to write clear technical procedures and troubleshooting documentation.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, networking fundamentals, IAM, and enterprise apps.
• Familiarity with CVEs, vendor security advisories, and remediation tracking.
• Ability to manage multiple issues independently and escalate when needed.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and follow-through.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain technical procedures, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles with technical teams.
• Review documentation for accuracy and identify processes to document or update.
• Monitor CVE alerts, vendor advisories, and vulnerability notifications and identify potentially affected systems.
• Create and track vulnerability remediation tickets, maintain status records, and escalate overdue items per procedures.
• Coordinate vulnerability follow-up with system owners and security teams; remediation decisions stay with owners.
• Review incoming IT tickets for completeness, priority, and routing; gather diagnostic information before escalation.
• Provide Level 1 and appropriate Level 2 support for workstation, application, account, authentication, VPN, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, account provisioning, access changes, and routine identity management tasks.
• Maintain IT inventories, service records, checklists, and other admin information.
• Coordinate recurring IT activities and follow up when multiple teams are involved.
• Recommend improvements to documentation, support processes, and recurring tasks.
