Job summary

Meals on Wheels Central Texas is seeking a Director of Information Technology to lead strategy, development, and modernization of the organization’s business systems, including Salesforce, the Power Platform, and integrations. You will define the technology roadmap and oversee budgets, vendors, and IT volunteers, driving adoption across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, business systems, or technology leadership, including at least 3 years supervising staff or leading technical teams.
• Demonstrated Salesforce development and administration experience; Salesforce Platform Developer or Architect certification preferred.
• Experience building solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
• Experience with system architecture, API integration, data modeling, and release management.
• Track record of delivering a technology roadmap and achieving measurable user adoption.
• Experience managing technology budgets, vendors, and contracts.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate clearly with non-technical staff.
• Experience engaging, coordinating, and supervising volunteers.
• Experience applying AI and automation responsibly in business processes preferred.
• Nonprofit or human services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy and Roadmap: Define, own, and execute the organization’s technology roadmap in alignment with its strategic priorities, and report progress to leadership
• Software Development and Integration: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom applications, integrations, and automation across Salesforce, Microsoft 365, and the Power Platform
• Platform Ownership and Adoption: Own Salesforce and the Power Platform as enterprise platforms, including architecture, roadmap, and governance
• Team Leadership, Budget, and Vendors: Lead, supervise, and develop the IT team; manage contractors and vendor relationships
• Governance, Security, and Data Architecture: Set data standards, security, and audit readiness; ensure compliance with policies and funders’ requirements
