Job summary

Sony Electronics Inc. seeks an Expert Solutions Architect to lead the technical side of the sales process from early business development to final proposal. The role requires crafting high-level and detailed IP-based broadcast solutions and coordinating with product management and professional services.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, travels 90–120 days per year, and communicates complex technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related technical field required.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 5 years designing and deploying live production environments for broadcast television.
• Minimum 3 years designing, deploying, and supporting SMPTE ST 2110 IP-based media environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre- and post-sales design and planning sessions as Technical Guru.
• Demonstrate and communicate best practices for Networked Solutions (IP Live, Nevion, IP-enabled hardware).
• Analyze customer requirements and separate what is needed vs. desired; position the solution portfolio.
• Present IP-based technologies to broadcasters, telecom operators, and partners.
• Lead the technical solution owner role and engage across the sales cycle.
