Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Patent Agent for a hybrid role in its IP – Patents Practice. The candidate will work with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications in emerging technologies, with a focus on physics, electronics, wireless and AI-related fields.

Minimum 2+ years in patent prep/prosecution and a strong STEM degree are required. The position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and a hybrid work environment across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, CS, or Physics with excellent academic record
• 2+ years of substantive patent preparation and prosecution experience
• Experience in data science, ML, AI, wireless, sensors, semiconductors, IoT, optics or related fields is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and writing skills with attention to technical detail

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications in emerging technology areas
• Identify inventions through discussions with inventors
• Perform novelty and clearance searches
• Draft patent applications and negotiate patent rights with the USPTO
• Prepare reports and documentation for patent portfolio management
