Massachusetts Financial Services Company (MFS) is seeking a senior Data Management professional to lead quality and stewardship of critical investment data. You will own end-to-end data quality, track data lineage, and design workflows across investment and reporting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, CS, engineering, data science or related field.
• 6-8+ years in investment management, with 7+ years in data, analytics, and/or investment operations.
• Strong project management and process management skills to guide data quality improvement projects.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with scalable solutions to dynamic business needs.
• Deep understanding of how data is used within investment processes and its impact on outcomes.
• Broad knowledge of equity and fixed income securities and related data methodologies.
• Strong judgement and communication across organizational levels; collaborative and independent work style.
• Experience with basic data analysis techniques such as descriptive and diagnostic analyses.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve investment data quality concerns end-to-end.
• Prioritize data quality backlog with stakeholder input and risk principles.
• Track data lineage, resolve ambiguities, and analyze data quality impact.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop broad data solutions with operations, technology, distribution, legal, and compliance.
• Support strategic data initiatives including data packages and requirements/test phases.
• Execute data standardization activities to achieve quick issue resolution.
• Ensure adherence to data policies and standards across systems and reports.
• Contribute to funding decisions related to data and technology needs.
• Improve Data Management processes and maintain data quality dashboards.
• Maintain data quality and stewardship across data domains.
