Job summary

At MFS, Senior Investment Data Engineer will help unify investment data across the organization, delivering accurate data to investment professionals, risk teams, and clients. You will work with data architects, platform engineers, and vendor partners on modern data engineering and analytics solutions.

The role emphasizes building scalable data pipelines, improving data quality, and supporting production operations within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting data-oriented applications and platforms.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and advanced SQL concepts.
• Experience developing and maintaining data models using dbt (Data Build Tool).
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud-native databases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data models in dbt within Snowflake, implementing business logic and established data standards.
• Build modular, scalable, and well-documented transformation pipelines.
• Design, develop, and support scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions for reporting and analytics.
• Troubleshoot data and system issues, identify root causes, and support resolution efforts.
• Partner with engineers and stakeholders to deliver investment data solutions.
