Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Design Manager to lead design teams, implement workplace strategy, and support projects from concept through construction in a hybrid or remote setting. You will mentor designers, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver high‑quality spaces.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited school, 4+ years of professional design experience, and strong Revit skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a CIDA or NAAB accredited institution in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4+ years of professional design experience.
• 4+ years of Revit experience in a professional setting.
• Excellent time management, communication, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must be able to lead a team effort and delegate work to enable independence.
• Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Understand client goals, space needs, budgets, and outcomes.
• Data collection from clients and stakeholders via programming, surveys, and benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals from sketch through construction.
• Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, standards, and resources.
• Support quality review of design deliverables.
• Communicate new processes and standards within documentation.
• Review preliminary space plans for safety, function, aesthetics, and codes.
• Review furniture/equipment specs to meet client requirements.
• Provide ongoing training on space planning and FF&E.
• Develop client workplace standards and seek improvements.
• Share knowledge of space planning, materials, lighting, acoustics, and ergonomics.
• Perform conceptual design through construction documentation.
• Oversee third-party relationships with architects and engineers.
• Provide FF&E vendor knowledge to the team.
