Job summary

Aon Corporation in Burlington, VT is seeking an Insurance Officer to lead the insurance needs of diverse clients and manage captive programs. This hybrid/remote role requires EST work hours and a strong background in commercial insurance and brokerage.

You will advise on complex policies, coordinate renewals, and present to executives, with opportunities to collaborate with regulators and risk managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• P&C license preferred.
• CPCU/ARM or other designations helpful.
• Experience with captive insurance is preferred.
• Ability to explain coverages clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in multi-line commercial insurance including property, casualty, marine and financial lines.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex insurance matters, evaluating policy terms and conditions.
• Serve as the primary contact for insurance-related inquiries, communicating program details.
• Organize insurance and reinsurance documentation efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with brokers and consultants to lead renewals or implement new programs.
• Collaborate with financial professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive solutions.
• Communicate changes to client insurance programs with state regulators.
• Prepare and present materials to executive leaders at annual client board meetings, including captive utilization discussions.
