Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Hybrid Insurance Defense Billing + E-Billing Specialist to support insured clients with accurate invoicing and timely collections. The role emphasizes electronic billing across multiple platforms and adherence to client-specific guidelines.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of insurance defense billing experience, familiarity with Aderant Expert or similar systems, and a collaborative, deadline-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Three years of hands-on insurance defense billing experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic billing platforms and multiple client billing systems.
• Strong understanding of insurance defense billing requirements and carrier guidelines.
• Familiarity with common legal billing systems (Aderant, Elite, Legal Tracker, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process billing data and maintain accurate information in internal systems.
• Update matter-opening data and reflect client/matter details across systems.
• Review and adjust pre-bills and invoices for rates, narratives, time entries, expenses, and matter IDs.
• Prepare, submit, monitor, and distribute electronic invoices on client platforms.
• Follow carrier billing guidelines and outside counsel requirements.
• Resolve invoice rejections and billing discrepancies to support timely processing.
• Assist with split billing and complex allocations where applicable.
• Monitor AR and unbilled inventory; follow up on outstanding invoices.
