BOS Staffing is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join the firm’s Accounting department in a hybrid Chicago environment. The role focuses on prebills, ebilling, and ensuring accurate, timely invoices in line with client guidelines and fee agreements.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in accounting or billing, strong Excel/Outlook/Word skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks confidentially in a professional setting.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of general accounting or billing experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment
• Highly responsive, professional, and comfortable communicating with attorneys and support staff
• Ability to learn and utilize new software and web-based applications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, including proficiency with Zoom Workplace

Responsabilidades

• Generate and process prebills in accordance with firm procedures and deadlines
• Review and interpret client billing guidelines and fee agreements
• Ensure invoices are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
• Process electronic invoices (ebilling) and maintain billing requirements
• Maintain accurate billing instructions and client information within the accounting system
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies
• Communicate with attorneys, legal assistants, and other firm personnel regarding billing matters
• Respond to inquiries regarding billing and payment history, time and cost entries, and other financial information
• Maintain strict confidentiality of firm and client information
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities
