Job summary

National Interstate, part of Great American Insurance Group, seeks an Accounting Representative I for our Richfield, Ohio office with a hybrid schedule. You will handle routine clerical/accounting tasks, billing inquiries, reconciliations, and customer communications, supporting our agency partners and internal teams.

On-site four days a week with one day remote, you’ll contribute to accurate financial records while building cross-department relationships in a collaborative, value-driven

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Developing knowledge of state and federal regulations related to insurance accounting.
• Attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting tasks per procedures.
• Provides billing information, reconciliations, and problem resolution for internal/external customers.
• Uses multiple billing/policy applications to service customer inquiries of a complex nature.
• Supports inbound and outbound phone activity.
• May follow up on delinquent accounts and communicate with collections as needed.
• Prepares account analyses and may generate ad hoc reports.
