Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Instrument and Controls Designer to design P&ID diagrams and panel layouts for data centers, semiconductor and industrial facilities. You will join a global, multidisciplinary team and manage schedules while producing accurate reports.

The role requires 8+ years BIM design experience, familiarity with P&IDs and controls, and proficiency in BIM tools including Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Hybrid work and global collaboration are supported.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of BIM design experience.
• Experience using BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Associates Degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology.
• Experience designing data center, semiconductor, and other industrial facilities.
• Experience in instrumentation and controls.
• Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Familiarity with controls, electrical panels and cable tray.
• Familiarity with instrument placement.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects designing state-of-the-art data center, semiconductor, and other manufacturing facilities.
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of industrial facility control systems.
• Work within global multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
