Job summary

KOO Recruit is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist with 1–5 years of relevant experience for our client in the valve industry. The role supports the sales process from inquiry to quotation, order processing, and supplier coordination.

This position focuses on building relationships, preparing competitive quotes, and turning customer inquiries into orders. Based in Houston's Heights with a four-day in-office and one remote day per week schedule.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in inside sales, quotations, contracts, or procurement within the valve industry.
• Working knowledge of valve types, applications, and materials.
• Familiarity with international valve manufacturers and suppliers is preferred.
• Ability to read customer RFQs, compare vendor bids, and prepare accurate quotations.
• Understanding of pricing, profit margins, purchase orders, and commercial terms.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ERP system experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and identify technical and commercial requirements.
• Request vendor pricing and prepare bid comparisons with specs, cost and delivery.
• Prepare and submit customer quotations within pricing and margin guidelines.
• Follow up on quotes, answer customer questions, and help secure orders.
• Review customer POs for accuracy and alignment with quoted terms.
• Coordinate commercial and technical requirements with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Support negotiations on pricing, delivery, and terms, escalating issues when needed.
• Enter and maintain quotations, orders, and supplier POs in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with domestic and international vendors to source products and track order progress.
• Maintain accurate records and keep customers informed throughout the sales cycle.
