Job summary

Arrow Electronics is seeking a Customer Sales Specialist in Purchase, NY to support the Inside Sales Team and OSP engagements. You will process orders, assist with invoice accuracy, and manage backlog with test houses, using Excel for data retrieval and reporting.

You will contribute to KPI improvements such as on-time delivery and quality with warehouses, while providing excellent service to customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Has developed knowledge and skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
• Entry-level often for those with work experience in the skill area.
• Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
• Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions.
• Detail oriented, organized and excellent time-management skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills are required.
• New hires are expected to be in person for the initial 2-3 weeks of onboarding; once this period is completed, the employee will then move to hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote).
• Inside sales experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of the electronics industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert internal and external customer service and sales support to the Inside Sales Team and outside service provider (OSP) engagements.
• Assist in maintaining performance expectations further to enhance Arrow's position within each customer and supplier.
• Will handle more complex discrepancies, interfacing directly with OSPs, and recommend solutions and action plans to internal sales team staff.
• Heavily involved with positive KPI improvement, including on-time delivery (OTD) and minimizing quality issues with the warehouse.
• Responsible for the Order to Invoice Process, including but not limited to Direct expedites with test houses (OSPs) and the ability to manipulate and manage account-specific backlog reports with test houses.
• This includes pulling data, utilizing Excel, and ensuring responses are received back in a timely manner.
