Job summary

Phillip Jeffries is seeking an Imports Agent to support international shipments, import documentation, and freight administration in a hybrid role based at our headquarters in New Jersey. You will work closely with freight providers, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure accurate movement of goods and compliant documentation.

The role requires up to 2 years in logistics or related fields, familiarity with brokers and trade compliance, and a bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.

Qualifications

• Up to 2 years of experience in international logistics or related field.
• Experience with customs brokers, freight forwarding, or trade compliance is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Analytics, Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Track shipments, update status, and maintain freight records.
• Prepare import documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) and verify against checklists.
• Support freight cost recording and assist procurement in quotes.
• Escalate issues to management with clear documentation.
