Job summary

Glumac is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design control systems for diverse projects, including semiconductor, electric vehicles, data centers, and building automation. You will develop P&IDs, SOOs, instrument indexes, and wiring diagrams while supporting PLC/SCADA design and field verification.

Two in-office days per week in Austin, TX (hybrid), with travel to project sites as needed. BS in engineering, 3+ years in I&C design, EIT pursuing PE licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years instrumentation and controls design experience.
• EIT certification and pursuit of PE licensure.
• Experience with P&IDs, sequences of operation, instrument indexes, wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develop control system design deliverables (P&IDs, SOOs, instrument indexes, wiring diagrams).
• Design and support PLC and SCADA systems across multiple manufacturers.
• Size and select instruments and valves based on process conditions.
• Coordinate with engineers, clients, vendors, and construction teams.
• Visit project sites for field verification, client meetings, commissioning, and start-up support.
• Review designs for accuracy, constructability, functionality, and alignment with project requirements.
• Contribute to project delivery from early design through implementation and closeout.
