Job summary

FlaktGroup SEMCO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, analyze, and support HVAC equipment and systems across the product lifecycle. The role ensures performance, quality, safety, manufacturability, regulatory compliance, and cost targets while aligning with customer needs and business objectives.

The engineer will collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Service teams, lead design work, perform FAT tests, and help drive improvements in

Qualifications

• Experience designing HVAC systems and components.
• Ability to perform performance calculations and select components.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, AMCA, UL, ETL, NFPA).

Responsibilities

• Engineer HVAC system solutions based on project specs.
• Create 2D/3D designs and submittals with customers and suppliers.
• Ensure designs meet codes and manufacturability.
• Provide technical support to sales and customers.
• Manage projects to meet schedule, cost, and performance goals.
• Support product releases with BOMs and technical docs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to improve quality and efficiency.
• Review and disposition ECRs/ECNs.
• Conduct FAT plans, validation, and reports.
• Assist field service with troubleshooting and corrective actions.
