Job summary

UC Santa Cruz is seeking a Human Resources Support Analyst in the Shared Services team to provide HR and academic personnel support across Colleges, UE, and related units.

The role administers staff and academic transactions, coordinates onboarding and offboarding, and advises on appointment timelines and policies to ensure compliance and a smooth employee experience.

This is a full-time, hybrid position on the UCSC main campus with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem solving skills with the ability to think critically, analyze data, and use sound judgment.
• Demonstrated written communication skills, with the ability to explain HR policies clearly.

Responsibilities

• Administer a broad range of staff and academic personnel transactions incl. recruitment, hiring, appointments, reappointments, compensation actions, payroll, leaves, and separations.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a seamless employee experience and compliance.
• Advise faculty and administrators on appointment timelines and policy requirements.
