Job summary

Topco Associates seeks a Senior Manager/HR Business Partner in Itasca, IL for a hybrid role. You will partner with managers, lead HR strategy, and drive talent development across disciplines, owning enterprise-wide programs like Talent Review and Performance Management.

You will mentor an HR Analyst and serve as a trusted advisor to executives, shaping organizational culture and workforce strategy.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited university is required.
• Preferred degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Organizational Effectiveness or related field.
• 10-15 years of progressive HR generalist/business partner experience deploying HR policies, programs, and practices.
• 2+ years of experience leading or supervising others, with a track record of coaching.
• Experience implementing organizational change initiatives.
• Excellent communication and consultative skills with senior leaders.
• PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Experience with Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop an HR Analyst with clear goals and development plans.
• Provide strategic, consultative HR partnership to client leadership across all HR areas.
• Ensure HR policy advice aligns with employment law and best practice.
• Advise managers on employee relations issues using a structured approach.
• Guide organizational structure and lead cultural change with clients.
• Partner to build high-performing teams and manage workforce strategy.
• Own Talent Review process, including communications and manager enablement.
• Own Performance Management cycle, goal setting, calibration, and action plans.
• Develop and deliver manager-facing training on HR topics.
• Oversee exit interviews and translate trends into actionable insights for HR leadership.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategy for openings.
• Support reward policy rollout including pay review and benchmarking.
• Develop and implement personnel policies; re-evaluate policies annually.
• Evaluate department initiatives and drive continual HR service improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.
