Tri-Area Community Health in Laurel Fork, VA is seeking a hybrid Human Resources Generalist to support a dependable HR foundation across the organization and grow through a comprehensive benefits package and professional development assistance.

You will work alongside the Human Resources Director to deliver confidential, compliant HR support, independently manage key priorities, and strengthen employee experiences through consistent policy application and well-documented HR practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 3+ years HR experience with independent advising.
• Hands-on HRIS experience required.
• Current SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or equivalent certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of HR practices and employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Guide employees and managers on HR policies and employee relations.
• Evaluate HR matters independently and escalate high-risk issues.
• Maintain confidential employee records in UKG.
• Support onboarding, data management, and HR reporting.
• Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and communications.
• Support compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
• Prepare HR reports and identify process improvements.
• Develop consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
