Job summary

Navitus is seeking a Hybrid Human Resources Generalist to support enterprise HR functions in the Madison area. The role covers onboarding, benefits, leave administration, and policy adherence. You will be a key contact for associate relations and help drive engagement and compliance with employment laws.

The position is M-F 8-5, with 2 days per week at the Madison WI office. A Bachelor’s in HR or related field is required; SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
• 2+ years in HR, Generalist role, with broad HR function experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for associate relations and HR inquiries.
• Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA/ADA) in compliance with laws.
• Assist with onboarding and enrollment questions.
• Maintain secure associate records and ensure legal compliance.
• Lead performance management and disciplinary actions with guidance.
• Support policy updates and handbook maintenance.
• Collaborate on HR initiatives and process improvements.
• Handle special HR projects as needed.
