Job summary

Elevo Learning is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator in San Diego, CA. This full-time, hybrid role supports employee relations, onboarding, policy guidance, and HR case management across the field operations region.

You will handle confidential matters, conduct investigations, maintain HR records, and collaborate with Senior HR staff to ensure compliant People Operations processes. In-office travel to Pacific Beach will be required 1–2 times monthly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience, including Employee Relations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience with HRIS and HR case management systems; ADP or HubSpot preferred.
• Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication and judgment; able to escalate when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support managers and employees to resolve employee relations matters and guide company policies.
• Conduct workplace investigations with documentation and initial HR recommendations.
• Manage workers’ compensation-related information and coordinate return‑to‑work planning.
• Review attendance and doctor notes to advise on Paid Sick Leave and procedures.
• Respond to inquiries via HR channels and escalate cases as needed.
• Assist with unemployment claims, wage audits, and hearings when required.
• Maintain accurate HR case files and trackers for timely reporting.
