Job summary

Installed Building Products in Columbus, OH, is seeking a detail‑oriented HR Compliance Representative in a hybrid role. You will safeguard the organization by supporting compliance initiatives, conducting audits, updating policies, and creating training materials for field and corporate HR teams.

In this role, you will monitor federal, state, and local employment regulations, assist with payroll audits, and review Form I‑9 documentation to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 4+ years in HR, compliance, auditing, or related regulated environment.
• HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support HR compliance audits by gathering documentation, tracking findings, reviewing records for accuracy, and reconciling data.
• Assist in tracking changes to federal, state, and local employment laws and summarizing findings for management.
• Answer routine HR compliance questions from staff and managers.
• Perform periodic payroll audits to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax requirements, and internal controls.
• Maintain electronic HR compliance trackers, audit logs, and personnel records while safeguarding confidential data.
• Perform periodic audits of Form I-9 documentation to assess compliance and implement corrective actions.
• Help update compliance job aids, policy documents, training materials, and communication resources for field and corporate HR teams.
• Develop and execute controls to monitor labor law poster compliance and implement corrective actions for gaps.
• Evaluate salary band structures for alignment with compensation philosophy and market practices.
• Collaborate with the Leave of Absence team on leave management compliance.
