Job summary

Placements24 in East London is seeking a knowledgeable HR Advisor to provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, and policy implementation.

You will partner with managers and staff, ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA, and support development and onboarding processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR and at least 3 years’ advisory experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA).
• Proven experience in managing employee relations and providing HR support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including employee relations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies, updating as necessary.
• Support the recruitment and selection process, including job profiling, sourcing, and onboarding.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.
• Manage performance management processes and support employee development planning.
• Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to HR reporting.
