Job summary

RS&H is looking for a Civil Highway Engineering Associate in Columbia, SC. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both in-office and remote work. As part of our infrastructure team, you will perform design calculations, develop engineering plans, and engage in field observations for ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering and demonstrate strong communication skills, as well as a passion for learning and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Awareness of federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform elementary design calculations and prepare quantity takeoffs.
• Develop engineering plans and use engineering software for design tasks.
• Conduct field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects.
