Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree and seven years of relevant experience.
• Professional engineer (PE) in good standing.
• Familiar with federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
• Proficient in production software and construction document production.
• Ability to address challenging issues in a professional, businesslike manner.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and reviewing others’ work for technical accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients, contractors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and coordination of diverse highway projects.
• Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria.
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary project team and manage client communications.
• Prepare specifications, scaled drawings, proposals and ensure material conformance.
• Review scopes, budgets and schedules; mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Perform quality control reviews and field observations of ongoing construction.
