Job summary

RS&H is seeking a civil highway engineering associate to join our team in a hybrid in-office/remote schedule. You will contribute to data compilation, permit and report preparation, material testing, and basic design calculations for transportation projects.

You will also prepare drawings, visual aids, and quantity takeoffs, and perform field reviews of ongoing construction to gain practical understanding of evolving practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) is required.
• Awareness of federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Compile data and assist with permit and report preparation and material testing.
• Perform elementary design calculations and prepare quantity takeoffs and estimates.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids using engineering software.
• Conduct field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects to gain practical understanding of construction practices and design applications.
