Job summary

PRIME AE Group, Inc. in Indiana seeks a Highway Engineer III to join the Transportation team in Indianapolis or New Albany. You will lead roadway design efforts from concept to construction documentation for state and local agencies.

The role emphasizes ownership of technical design, project coordination, and mentoring junior engineers, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and adherence to standards, schedules, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• EIT certification; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency with ORD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or similar roadway design software.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, INDOT, MUTCD, ADA, and related design guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate highway and roadway design from concept to construction documentation.
• Develop alignments, maintenance of traffic, drainage, and safety improvements.
• Prepare construction plans, specs, estimates, reports, and calculations.
