Responsibilities

• Review and approve roadway design calculations.
• Review plans and technical drawings across multiple projects.
• Manage project priorities, schedules and deliverables to ensure work remains on track.
• Coordinate with internal support departments and external sub-consultants.
• Mentor junior engineers and CAD designers.
• Support the preparation of Letters of Interest (LOIs) for state and local projects.
• Meet with existing and prospective clients to understand project needs and provide recommendations.
• Communicate project requirements and technical information to clients and project teams.
• Support the successful delivery of multiple roadway projects simultaneously.

We are representing an established engineering consultancy in the search for a Roadway Project Manager to join its transportation team in Indianapolis.

This is an opportunity for an experienced roadway engineer to take a leading role in the design and delivery of state and locally funded transportation projects throughout Indiana, working directly with project teams, clients and technical disciplines.

The ideal candidate will bring 6+ years of roadway engineering experience, at least 2 years of project management experience, and an Indiana PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months. Strong knowledge of the INDOT and Federal Aid design process is essential.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working directly with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or CAD designers preferred.
