Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience designing roadway and transportation infrastructure for state/local agencies.
• Proficiency with ORD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or similar roadway design software.

Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate design of roadway, highway, interchanges, intersections, ADA, and other transportation projects.
• Develop roadway alignments, traffic maintenance plans, drainage, and safety improvements.
• Prepare and review construction plans, specs, estimates, calculations, reports, and documentation.
• Use ORD, MicroStation, Civil 3D to develop and review design models and documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project schedules, budgets, quality control, and identify potential issues.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, agency meetings, and client coordination.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and designers and assist with reviews.
• Support scopes of work, LOE estimates, proposals, and other delivery activities.
