Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Governance Analyst to strengthen controls, support regulatory compliance, and drive operational excellence. You will collaborate across teams, research complex requirements, and translate data into actionable insights that mitigate risk and align with governance standards.

The role reports to the Supervisor - Operations Governance in the Operations Planning and Governance department and involves risk assessments, issue tracking, and program development related

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience in risk, governance and regulatory compliance.
• 3+ years of QA/issue management/project management experience, preferably in financial institutions.
• Experience in financial institutions strongly encouraged/required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in formal risk assessments with stakeholders and document key controls.
• Develop risk assessments with auditors and regulatory requirements; prepare reports.
• Identify opportunities for improvement with Service Operations.
• Elevate enterprise-wide risk management responsibilities across functions.
• Assist in open issue mitigation by tracking resolution status and documentation.
• Design programs for record retention, complaints management, and disclosures to ensure compliance.
• Use databases, spreadsheets, and statistics to manipulate, analyze and present data.
• Coordinate regulation research and annual policy reviews with business areas.
