Job summary

John S. Connor is seeking a Corporate Import Compliance Manager to oversee and strengthen our company-wide import compliance program. You will lead efforts across operations, logistics, legal, and finance to mitigate regulatory risk and ensure compliant, efficient import processes.

The role requires deep knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classifications, and licensing, with experience directing teams and delivering training. Hybrid work options support collaboration and field duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
• 5–7 years in import operations or trade compliance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import/export laws, and international trade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate import compliance programs and policies.
• Monitor company-wide compliance with U.S. Customs regulations (ISF, HTS, EAR, ITAR).
• Review and approve customs entries, classifications, licenses, and permits as needed.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments of import processes.
• Provide training and guidance to import teams and staff on compliance requirements.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies such as CBP.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal on new initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import regulations and industry best practices.
