Job summary

Cox Automotive is offering an Employment Practices Intern role in a hybrid Chicago/remote-friendly environment. You will assist on HR compliance, mobility, and employee relations while gaining exposure to employment law and policy development.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a bachelor’s in HR or related fields, with strong MS Office skills, research ability, and solid written and verbal communication. Internships are temporary, with potential for full-time consideration.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Pre-Law, or related fields.
• Able to adapt to change and work effectively in ambiguity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online research.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Research and summarize best practices regarding various employment policies and practices.
• Provide policy development and administration support in response to new or changing business needs or employment laws.
• Provide administration support for training initiatives focused on workplace practices.
• Provide general administrative support for employee relations.
• Create new files for domestic mobility and immigration in Global Mobility case management.
• Support wage audits.
• Support Unemployment Claims Process.
• Aid with fulfilling requests for personnel files.
• Provide support for I‑9 audit projects as needed.
• Provide administrative support for HR Compliance as needed.
• Assist with review and approval of global remote work requests.
