Job summary

The Institute of International Education (IIE) invites you to join its Fulbright Events team in Washington, DC as an Events Specialist. This role advances Fulbright programs by designing seminars and professional development activities, coordinating with sponsors, partners, and vendors, and ensuring on-site execution of high-profile meetings, summits, and VIP gatherings.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and at least five years of event planning experience, strong budgeting

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of related work experience.
• Experience developing adult-education programming and managing large-scale events.
• Ability to multitask, manage resources, and adhere to budgets.

Responsibilities

• Develop seminar themes, review agendas, and advise on speaker selection.
• Oversee seminar design, logistics, RFPs, and subcontractor monitoring.
• Plan Fulbright in-person and virtual seminars and professional development programs.
• Coordinate content, sponsor communications, and on-site execution for events.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and improve event processes.
• Represent IIE at events, liaising with sponsors, partners, VIPs, and participants.
