Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc. in Minnesota is offering an internship with the Grid Analyst team for the summer of 2027. You will test and revise critical documentation, improve data accuracy for ongoing operations, and help develop automated solutions for grid data processes.

This internship starts May 24th, 2027, with potential extension based on performance and business needs. Eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in GIS, computer science, or data engineering programs and able to work full-time

Qualifications

• Current student, junior or higher
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in GIS, Computer Science, or Data Engineering
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during school year (up to 20 hours/week) and commute to the designated work location per hybrid policy

Responsibilities

• Testing Documentation
• Manual Attribution of Transformer Catalogs
• Exporting Data Tables from ADMS for Reporting
• Executing monthly data update cycles
