This is professional services work involving management of the statewide 9-1-1 system databases, supporting office functions, and external communications of the Emergency Services Communication Bureau (ESCB). Responsibilities include analyzing activities and work problems, summarizing findings, preparing reports, and recommending changes in policies, procedures, or practices related to the administration of 9-1-1 databases and communications. Work includes extensive direct, personal contact with municipal officials, emergency service providers, telecommunications providers, contractors, and the public on a variety of technical and related issues. Work is performed under limited supervision under the direction of the Deputy Director.
Your role as theSystems Coordinatorwillallow you to become an integral member of an experienced purpose-drive team that dedicates their time to ensuring every 9-1-1 call is routed correctly, answered professionally, correctly dispatched, and ultimately that people across Maine receive the appropriate help in an emergency. On a daily basis, you will be connecting the resources, the organizations, and the people that make this happen.
