Mass General Brigham's Mass General Physicians Organization, Inc. seeks a Genetic Counselor to educate, counsel, and support patients, families, and research participants who may have or be at risk for genetic conditions.

You will review personal and family histories, discuss testing options, coordinate testing, document encounters, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care in a hybrid setting at 55 Fruit Street.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling required.
• Provisional Genetic Counselor license in Massachusetts required.
• 0-1 year genetic counseling experience preferred.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsabilités

• Provide genetic counseling, education, and support in alignment with department needs.
• Review personal and family medical histories, assess genetic risk, and explain options.
• Coordinate genetic testing processes, including consent and result disclosure.
• Document patient encounters accurately and in accordance with standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated care.
• Maintain certification and licensure and adhere to ethical standards.
• Participate in educational opportunities and professional development.
• Support supervision of genetic counseling trainees as appropriate.
• Contribute to quality and workflow improvement initiatives.
• Support patient access, education, and advocacy within the program.
