Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced genetic counseling, education, and support to patients, families, and research participants.
  • Reviews personal and family medical histories, assesses genetic risk, and explains options and care plans.
  • Coordinates genetic testing workflows, including documentation, consent, and disclosure of results.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care.
  • Mentors and trains peers and trainees and supervises as appropriate.
