Job summary

Wilmington Trust, a part of M&T Bank, seeks an experienced deal manager in a hybrid role (4 days in office) to negotiate and close transactions for Global Capital Markets clients. You will interact with clients, assist sales on business development, and coordinate deal structures across asset types.

The job requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent 7+ years) and 3+ years of related experience, with MBA/JD preferred. Delaware location; pay range reported: USD 106,700–177,900 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ related experience, or a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including 3 years’ related experience.
• GCM deal closing experience and corporate trust experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and close transactions where Wilmington Trust serves as Trustee or in other roles.
• Serve as client-facing deal manager for transactions for internal groups.
• Meet with clients and attend conferences as appropriate.
• Assist Sales with business development and coordinate deal structures by asset type.
• Act as internal liaison for support groups around deal closings.
• Address escalated client issues and prioritize resolution with leadership guidance.
• Follow risk and regulatory standards and identify issues needing escalation.
• Support the M&T Bank brand and maintain internal controls.
