Job summary

Mattel is seeking a Packaging Designer to shape the visual identity of its games and entertainment brands, from early concept to final production. You will craft packaging, games content, and supporting assets that connect with consumers and tell a compelling brand story.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Product Design, Engineering, and Asia teams to bring innovative ideas to life, including 3D mockups and production-ready details.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in packaging, graphic, or consumer product design.
• Exceptional visual design skills with a strong portfolio in packaging and brand storytelling.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Experience with 3D visualization tools such as Adobe Dimension, Blender, or similar.
• Strong typography, color, composition, and consumer-focused design.

Responsibilities

• Design packaging from concept through production for Mattel Games brands and licensed properties.
• Develop visual storytelling that strengthens brand identity and drives consumer engagement.
• Create packaging and product graphics, digital assets for retail and e-commerce.
• Partner with Marketing, Product Design, Engineering, Copywriting, and Brand teams for cohesive solutions.
• Art direct illustration, retouching, and external partners.
• Create 3D package visualizations and physical mockups to convey design intent.
• Collaborate with global development teams to ensure design quality from concept to production.
• Stay connected to trends in design, gaming, entertainment, culture, and retail.
