Job summary

Progressive is seeking an accounting financial reporting specialist to perform medium complexity GAAP and SEC reporting tasks in a hybrid role based at our Mayfield Village, Ohio headquarters. You will prepare schedules for 8-K, 10-Q, and 10-K filings and monitor FASB/SEC changes to ensure SOX compliance.

Minimum education is a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least 2 years of experience in accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field and a minimum of 2 years of accounting work experience.
• Experience with quarterly and year-end financial reporting.
• Strong GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge; able to deliver accurate reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium complexity GAAP and SEC financial reporting tasks.
• Prepare and analyze financial statement schedules to support SEC filings (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K).
• Monitor changes from FASB and SEC and maintain SOX compliance controls.
• Update accounting and reporting policies and procedures as needed.
