Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking an accounting financial reporting specialist to join the GAAP Financial Reporting team. You will handle medium complexity GAAP and SEC reporting tasks, prepare statements and schedules for SEC filings, and ensure compliance with SOX controls.

This hybrid role is based at our headquarters in Mayfield Village, Ohio. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field and at least 2 years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform medium complexity GAAP and SEC financial reporting tasks.
• Prepare and analyze financial statement schedules to support SEC filings (8-Ks, 10-Qs, 10-Ks).
• Monitor accounting and financial reporting changes from FASB and SEC and maintain SOX compliance.
• Update company accounting and reporting policies and procedures.
