Job summary

Staff Financial Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant (SEC) to lead SEC reporting and technical accounting efforts. The role is hybrid with two in-office days per week, offering strong collaboration across the finance team.

You will prepare external financial statements, ensure SEC/GAAP compliance, and support audits. CPA strongly preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience, including Big 4/public company exposure.

Qualifications

• CPA preferred and strong SEC reporting background.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in SEC/GAAP reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings.
• Research and implement new accounting standards (ASC, GAAP).
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in quarterly earnings release process.
• Maintain documentation for internal controls and SOX compliance.
