Job summary

CIBC is seeking an Application Support Consultant for its Capital Markets Technology group in New York. You will support and enhance production systems for our fixed income applications, collaborating with traders, analysts and developers in a hybrid on-site/remote setup.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of frontline trading app support, strong Unix and scripting skills, SQL proficiency, and experience with Bloomberg TOMS or Broadway. A Computer Science degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years supporting a Front Office Trading Application (Fixed Income exposure preferred) with traders.
• Unix environment navigation and scripting basics (Python/Shell).
• Proficient in writing SQL queries and ad-hoc reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve high to critical production problems for supported applications.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Developers on bug fixes and new releases; advise on delivery.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the line of business, vendors, and technical teams to restore service during outages.
• Monitor services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
