Job summary

Orient Express Container (OEC)Group in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Freight Release Coordinator. You will validate freight invoices, resolve discrepancies, record charges, and approve release after payment.

You will work in Accounting and collaborate with Operations. Requirements include at least 1 year in fast-paced data entry or clerical roles, logistics/freight forwarding experience, CargoWise One experience, strong Excel and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced data entry or clerical role.
• Previous logistics/ freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Experience using CargoWise One preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; willing to learn advanced functions.
• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Teams, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Review original BOLs, legal documents, and payments to send release documentation and payments to vendors.
• Process 300+ documents daily under tight deadlines.
• Record charges, refunds, invoices, checks, and related reports into CargoWise One.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Utilize CargoWise One and Excel to track and update shipment statuses.
• Communicate with customers, overseas offices, and vendors by email and phone with status updates on shipments.
• Address customer inquiries related to release status, customs status, and payment verification.
• Provide customers and vendors with payment options for shipment release.
