Job summary

Catalyst Brands in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support FP&A, forecasting, reporting, and business analytics for the Lifestyle Brands division (Aéropostale, Lucky Brand, Nautica). This hybrid role is based in our New York, NY corporate office or our Lyndhurst, NJ finance office (preferred).

This role partners with Finance, Accounting, and Brand leaders to evaluate performance across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.
• Advanced Excel: lookups, SUMIFS, index/match, pivot tables, modeling.
• Data validation: rigorous self-auditing and accuracy checks.
• Communication: strong written and verbal skills with non-finance partners.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning across channels.
• Own assigned areas with limited supervision and accountability.
• Build and maintain driver-based financial models in Excel with clear assumptions.
• Analyze sales, gross margin, and SG&A against budget and forecast; investigate variances.
• Coordinate with Accounting during month-end close to validate results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess pricing, product costs, and mix.
• Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
