Job summary

Champion Petfoods is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead financial planning, reporting and KPI analysis from our hybrid office in Louisville, CO (US) or Edmonton/Nashville. You will partner with the VP to build the annual budget and long-term strategic plan, ensuring accurate financial storytelling and actionable recommendations.

The role requires CPA preferred, 5+ years in finance, and strong ERP and Excel skills to drive corporate reporting, cost control and trusted

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a finance role.
• Minimum two years’ experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry preferred.
• Strong financial writing skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, including reporting tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent project management and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to develop relationships.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to coordinate multiple deadlines and build cohesive teams.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
• Willingness to work extended days and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis, business reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Manage annual budget and long-term strategic growth plan with VP FP&A.
• Provide adhoc analysis and scenario planning for management.
• Coordinate regional reporting and KPI reviews with Global regions.
• Mentor and develop junior staff as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
