Job summary

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California seeks a Fleet Coordinator at La Verne, CA to support the Fleet Unit Manager by managing the equipment fleet and records across twelve locations.

Responsibilities include maintaining maintenance records, analyzing data, guiding staff, and recommending replacements; candidate will work in a hybrid schedule with two days on site weekly, and must have a bachelor's degree and 4 years' fleet experience, plus CMMS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience.
• Experience with fleet maintenance, equipment utilization, dispatching, acquisition, and salvaging of light and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of CMMS tools such as Maximo, FleetIO, AssetWorks, Samsara for scheduling and tracking fleet performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual Operating Equipment review and support vehicle specifications and in-service processes.
• Maintain accurate computerized maintenance records and track fleet financials, warranties, and recalls.
• Administer driver evaluations and deliver safety and maintenance training to staff and stakeholders.
• Audit maintenance programs and consult on equipment repairs and spare parts.
• Conduct site visits to ensure regulatory and safety compliance across locations.
• Collaborate with managers and technicians to monitor preventive maintenance schedules and operational efficiency.
