Job summary

Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to manage vehicle fleets, maintain records, analyze data, and support training across the organization. The role collaborates with the Fleet Unit Manager and staff to optimize operations for over 1,400 vehicles and 502 facility assets.

The position involves driving safety and maintenance training, regulatory compliance, and data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience.
• Experience with fleet maintenance, equipment utilization, dispatching, acquisition and salvaging of light and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of CMMS tools such as Maximo, FleetIO, AssetWorks and Samsara.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual Operating Equipment review and support vehicle specifications and in-service processes.
• Maintain accurate computerized maintenance records and track fleet financials, warranties, and recalls.
• Administer driver evaluations and deliver safety and maintenance training to staff and stakeholders.
• Audit maintenance programs and consult on equipment repairs and spare parts.
• Conduct site visits to ensure regulatory and safety compliance across all locations.
• Collaborate with managers and technicians to monitor preventive maintenance schedules and operational efficiency.
