Xcel Energy is seeking a Fleet Asset Manager to lead the design and execution of replacement strategies for automotive, light, medium and heavy-duty fleet assets. The role oversees asset planning, budgeting, and lifecycle cost analyses to minimize total cost of ownership while meeting user needs.

The position emphasizes collaboration with suppliers, finance, sourcing, and fleet operations, with a hybrid work arrangement and location-appropriate schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of experience in accounting, finance, Supply Chain, or business planning/consulting; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years experience in acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles.
• Mechanical experience beneficial.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Fleet management tools highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage 1,800 unit fleet of owned and rented assets and optimize asset mix and location.
• Validate and manages annual fleet capital and rental proposals within budget.
• Develop fleet asset design specifications and standardization projects.
• Collaborate with Fleet Standards & Performance and Fleet Operations teams to maintain SOPs and improve productivity.
